About Me
I’m Amber Taylor, and I’m so glad you decided to swing by my site! I’m a momma to the two most energetic toddlers on the planet, wife to the most awesome dude (I’ll save the mush, but he truly is my best friend), and sarcasm is my jam. I’m a nomad and have lived all over the country. I was born and raised in southern California, moved to Ohio, Louisiana and now have settled in Austin Texas. I started my photography career because I truly love capturing every single moment and delivering the best memories for my clients. I love to work in natural light where I can catch all of life’s moments from family sessions, senior pictures, weddings, engagements, maternity, even pet sessions! I thrive for the candid shots. I think these up-close-and-personal shots are the best way to tell the story and to highlight the aura and personality of everyone in the session. I am the mom that filled up her phone memory every day from the one zillion pictures I was taking so I really understand the importance of these snapshots in time. For most of us, those special moments are over so fast. Beautiful pictures are the most effective way to capture those moments forever and that simplicity is what attracted me to photography.
When I’m not behind the camera, I either start or end my day with a CrossFit work out. I love to cook and bake as well. My husband and I are usually cooking together every weekend (why I got back to CrossFit). I’m a huge college football fan (I’ll keep my team a secret until we have become friends), but, my number one job is being a stay-at-home momma to my littles. I might show up to a session with my eyes crossed from singing Mickey Mouse Clubhouse one too many times, but, I’ll be there!
I’m a lover of any kind of Mexican food, chocolate, coffee, and 90’s hip-hop. I’m finding myself in this weird place in life where I’m not young but I’m not old, I have no idea how to floss (except my teeth) and when I watch award shows I have no idea who most of the artists are. However, I am a rather “normal” person, whatever that means today.
I can say that I love what I do. I love people and telling great stories about those people through my lens. I take an exceptional amount of pride in my ability to draw out the finest details and in providing my clients with an amazing photography experience. I look forward to telling your story.
